If that were my batting average, I'd be ecstatic. However, it's our beta number, which leaves me cautiously optimistic. It's below the median for our dpo (19) according to this chart, but still well within the realm of normal. It looks like a singleton, but we all know you can't really tell such things from beta numbers. The nurse said they just like to see anything over a hundred at this point, which sounds crazy low to me, but I'm gonna take her at her word and hope that's enough to keep my spirits high until our next test.
So, we're breathing a sigh of relief over here, albeit slightly reserved. We're officially pregnant. Next beta will be on 7/14.

Officially! Normal! Way over 100! I'm beyond cautiously optimistic, though I understand your reserve. So thrilled for you darling. xo
Does counting today as 18 dpo make things look better (not that things look bad - if they're looking for 100, I reckon 441 looks AWESOME!) If 18th June was EC day, wouldn't that be "o" day equivalent, making 19th June 1dpo, and today 18dpo?
Regardless, it's excellent news and I confess to being jealous at having no numbers!
I have to wonder about these charts and how big the sample size is, since so few pregnant women actually have quantitative betas. In my experience, they're not "standard procedure" outside of the AI world and it takes a lot of arm twisting to get one done - our OB practice just has you come in at 7 weeks for a POAS confirmation and does some basic bloodwork, which is the story I've heard from all the pregnant straight people I know too. So it seems to me that the range is probably a lot more variable than the charts would suggest - I think there's definitely cause to be optimistic. Hooray for official confirmation - you are pregnant, sister!
441 is a whopping huge beta... i don't trust those charts... we got a beta of 50 at 15dpo... so far everything is normal...
It is a great number and the median on betabase is not just the middle but the 2 up and down in my opinion so you are totally within the mean.
Congrats.
Thanks for all of the reassurance. I'm trying to avoid google searches but damn it's tough! Vee, I am counting the days the same as you are (i.e. June 19th = 1 dpo) but that's still putting me at 19 dpo today. Although, if the embryos hung out for a day before implanting, THAT could make me more like 18 dpo, right?
Eh, I need to let go but my OCD isn't letting me at the moment. This would be such a great night for a glass of wine and a hot bath... ;-)
i am with veeandjay... on the 18dpo :) those embryos move on their own time table... and 441 sounds like a # i could get behind either way.
if you can't do HOT bath and wine, how about cool shower (it is hot hot hot here in NYC) and ice cream!
Yeah for officially, normally pregnant!
i think everything is fine!!!
Ah well maybe it's the time difference messing with my head. Maybe your "today" is my "tommorrow"? All is good anyway!
