The overall experience of breastfeeding has been terrible for me since day one but I've kept it up through sheer determination. This may be the straw that breaks the camel's back. I can cope with my current situation as an isolated incident, but if this duct issue is going to be a monthly thing, breastfeeding and I may just have to break up. I guess I'll just have to get through this and see what next month brings.
And in related complaining... Damn it for no break from AF! It hasn't even been a full 28 days since my postpartum bleeding let up. I thought breastfeeding was supposed to buy me a reprieve. Booo.

that truly does suck! Good for you for persevering - but I hear you - it sounds very painful. Hope you feel better soon.
Damn! My period came back too, but it was very light and a few people have said they had the same and then if didn't come back again for a few more months, so fingers crossed. It did seem to adversely affect my milk supply for a few days though. Blocked ducts sound painful! Poor you.

You probably already know this by now, since I'm commenting on a May post in October (blogger bingo and all ; )), but breastfeeding doesn't keep AF away for ALL women. My mom breastfed all my siblings, and hers still arrived every month after the pp bleeding stopped. Sorry!
